In 2020 we decided to venture into meat chickens — Cornish cross. We raised enough for our family and few close friends but with Covid it grew into more. Now we raise several and stock chicken for our own farmstand as well as wholesalers all year. We pick up local chicks hours old and raise them 7-8 weeks until they are ready for the butcher and then transport them to a local processor. They are fed on green grass as well in chicken tractors to protect them from predators and rotated daily with plenty of sunshine, water, bugs, and all natural locally-grown grains. It is poultry at its finest, grown the way they are supposed to, to provide our family and customers with the most nutrient dense and Omega 3 abundant product.
